Taking camera snapshot on an event

To take a camera snapshot based on an event you need to create a global command. For further information on global commands see Global Commands.

Follow these steps to create a global command to take camera snapshot of an event.

1. Create event based global command, in Database > Global Commands menu
2. Select the event type
3. In the Conditions tab. add devices and users
4. In the Actions tab add a Device Command. In the devices menu select Camera and under camera select Snap Picture
5. Click Next and select the camera used to take the snap picture
6. Save
7. Test your configuration by generating the event. If the configuration is correct, you will see the snapshot from the selected camera on the event viewer when the event is triggered
