Working with Device groups

Device Groups are a convenient way to organize devices and provide an opportunity to send the same commands to multiple devices simultaneously.

Device Groups are managed within the Monitoring area of AvericsUnity.

Device groups can accessed from Monitoring | Status pages.

Create a Device Group

1. At the top of the Device Group area click New.
2. Enter a name for the group and a description (optional).
3. In the Add Device Group window, choose items to be added to the group in the left panel and click the single right-pointing arrow button. To add all items click the double right-pointing arrow.
4. To remove items from the right panel, click the single left-pointing arrow button. To remove all items click the double left-pointing arrow.
5. When complete, click Finish.

Edit a Device Group

1. Either right-click the name of the Device Group or click the orange three-dot icon to the right of the table and click Edit.
2. Click Next.
3. In the Edit Device Group window, choose items to be added to the group in the left panel and click the single right-pointing arrow button. To add all items click the double right-pointing arrow.
4. To remove items from the right panel, click the single left-pointing arrow button. To remove all items click the double left-pointing arrow.
5. When complete, click Finish.

Delete a Device Group

1. Either right-click the name of the Device Group or click the orange three-dot icon to the right of the table and click Delete.
2. Click Ok to confirm the deletion.

• Either right-click the name of the Device Group or click the orange three-dot icon to the right of the table. A drop down menu is displayed. The content of the menu is dependent on the type for device.
